1972 - Birth and Early Life

Premanandji Maharaj was born as Anirudh Kumar Pandey into a devout Brahmin family in Akhri village, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. From a very young age, he showed a profound inclination towards spirituality and little interest in worldly affairs.

1985 - The Great Renunciation

This is one of the most pivotal moments in his life. At the tender age of 13, driven by an intense desire for God-realization, he left his home and family. He embarked on a solitary journey, beginning a life of extreme austerity and spiritual practice (sadhana).

Post-1985: Period of Intense Austerity

After leaving home, he spent many years as a wandering ascetic (sannyasi). He is known to have spent significant time on the banks of the river Ganga, subsisting on whatever was offered and spending his time in deep meditation and contemplation, enduring extreme hardships.

Arrival in Vrindavan & Initiation

His spiritual quest eventually led him to the holy land of Vrindavan. There, he met his spiritual master, Shri Hit Gaurangi Sharan Ji Maharaj, and received initiation (diksha) into the prestigious Radhavallabh Sampradaya. This was the most crucial milestone in formalizing his spiritual path.

Late 2010s - Early 2020s: Digital Age Guru

While he had been conducting spiritual discourses (satsangs) for many years at his ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, this period marked his rise to global prominence. His satsangs, shared on platforms like YouTube, began to touch the lives of millions around the world, making him one of the most beloved spiritual guides in the digital era.
